After taking good nutritional care during pregnancy it is essential, following the birth of your baby, to provide them with all the nutrients that they require for a healthy start in life. This is the time your baby will bond with you closely and good nutritional care will establish a healthy foundation for life. Breast feeding is best at this time but if this is not possible quality infant formula is the next best alternative. We recommend that breast feeding mothers supplement their diet with a quality milk formula such as Golden Fern's formula for lactating mothers.

Golden Fern™ Infant Formula has been scientifically formulated to give your baby all the goodness they need to grow. Golden Fern™ is made from a blend of premium quality New Zealand Whey Protein Concentrate and other beneficial ingredients to give your little one all the nutrients they need to thrive in the first six months of life.

How to prepare Golden Fern™ Infant Formula Step 1

1 2 3
Sterilise all utensils by using an approved steriliser or by boiling in water for five minutes.

Boil clean drinking water and allow to cool. Wash your hands with hot water before preparing formula. Pour the required amount of cooled boiled water into the sterilised bottle.
4 5 6
Use the scoop provided to add the required amount of Golden Fern™ formula to the bottle of water. Use a sterilised utensil to level off each scoop of formula.  Add one level scoop of Golden Fern™ powder per 50ml of water. Stir or shake until the powder is completely dissolved.   Before feeding make sure the prepared formula is not too hot by testing it on your wrist. Always discard any unfinished formula.

Prepare each bottle separately and as close as possible to feed time.

Your new baby hasn’t yet built up their immune system. Babies under three months of age are vulnerable to illnesses carried by micro-organisms from poorly cleaned bottles or contaminated water. Take extra care when you are preparing baby's formula to keep your little one healthier.

Warning: Follow instructions exactly. Prepare bottles and teats as directed. Do not change the proportions of powder except on medical advice only. Incorrect preparation of any feeding formula can make your baby ill. Infants over 6 months should be offered foods in addition to formula.
